ACE European Markets Announces Two Appointments

ACE European Markets (AEM) today announced two new appointments at its London branch office.

 

Stephen French has been appointed to Chief Underwriting Officer. This is a new role, which has been created to help expand on the solid growth of AEM and maintain the high profitability from the core lines of business written within the company including property, excess liability and professional lines. Stephen was previously Branch Manager and Property Underwriting Manager and has served over 10 years with ACE and 25 years in the insurance industry.

 

Neal Hayward has been appointed Property Underwriting Manager for AEM, having been a senior underwriter within the division for the last three years. Neal was previously with XL Re and Chaucer Syndicate and has 20 years experience in the market.     

 

James Hooban, Managing Director of AEM, comments “The individual accomplishments and skill sets of both Stephen and Neal make them perfect for their new, expanded roles within the company and marks an important part of the next evolutionary phase for AEM.

 

“While maintaining a key role in the property department, Stephen’s responsibilities will broaden to include supervision of all the lines of business written by AEM. In his new capacity, Neal’s responsibilities will include supervision of underwriting and staff within the property department.”
